How Expert Lighting Installed a 40 ft Showstopping Mobile at the 47th Kips Bay Designer House
The Challenge
Expert Lighting was called in to install an impressive 40-foot suspended mobile at the 47th Kips Bay Decorator Show House. The mobile is 130lbs and has over 40 strands with 4,000 hand-crafted brass cherry blossoms.
The Solution
Expert Lighting sent our highly skilled crew to install the 40-foot mobile. First, scaffolding was used to secure the frame at ceiling level from the oculus of the staircase.
Our crew then carefully hooked each of the individually packaged strands onto the framework, and removed the wrapping from each strand meticulously to reveal the beautiful, hand-strung brass blossoms.
The Result
Expert Lighting was successfully able to install the 40-foot suspended mobile. The suspended mobile easily became the room’s show stopping focal point, elegantly cascading down from atop the building’s ceiling
